My fondness for cut flowers stems back to my childhood when I would surprise my mother with a bouquet of wildflowers I’d pick on my way home from school. I most always have some vase full of flowers in my house during spring and summer, hence a large collection of vases, and hence, a new […]

Brave doubt / This week’s Indy Column
Art Attack – Brave Doubt …………… Art Attack is an opinion piece – my totally subjective point of view that one may choose to agree with, disagree with or completely ignore. It is written with an egoist presumption that there are people out there who care or are interested in what I have to say. It’s not […]
Tonight’s sky
A pretty sunset tonight – captured from home at The Hills of Keel’s Creek.
Queen of the wildflowers
To many, an invasive weed – to me, a delicate, abundant wildflower that takes me back to my suburban upbringing in Toronto. The full crowd (400 plus people?) gave the film and director Kai Robert a well deserved standing ovation followed by hugs, kisses and congratulatory pats on the back. It’s hard to be […]
The Artist Hands

After the Rain
The Catalpa is my favorite tree in Eureka Springs, especially in bloom with its orchid-like flowers. These giant beauties with their large, elongated leaves are the closest we get to being tropical. They make me miss Key West.
Celebrating Jack
A party celebrating the life and art of the late Eureka Springs artist Jack Miller took place Saturday night at The Space. Jack would have approved!
