Tonight’s Second Saturday of the month Gallery Stroll should be fun and interesting.
“Brews” the new and highly anticipated café/taproom serving excellent coffee and local craft beer will finally be open. Photo’s by yours truly, Sarah Wurmnest Barner, and Richard Quick will be on view. The newly renovated store-fronts at the corner of Spring and Pine St. make their debut’s with the soft openings of the new Satori Arts, Kris Cross’s new gallery space X and the Eureka Fine Arts Gallery, which made the move from Main to Spring.
Painter Drew Gentle got his start in animation and will have a show at the Norberta Philbrook Gallery on North Main tonight. Drew worked for Hanna Barbera, and is showing some of his early animated work from the Jetson’s to the Smurfs.
Zarks’ is hosting its annual invitational theme show on glasses, the spectacle kind. It’s always interesting to see what local artists come up with. I’ve sneak peaked a few, and they are great.
Hard to believe Eureka Thyme is celebrating 10 years already. Gallery owner Marsha Havens will have the champagne flowing in celebration tonight. Congrats.
The rain will end by this evening, but suggest a heavy sweater. Hope to see everyone tonight.
