The Fourth of July

Growing up in Canada we didn’t have our own flag until 1965. When Queen Elizabeth (our Queen) would arrive for a visit, the most patriotic thing we could do, was line the streets to greet her while waving our tiny Union Jacks. I’ve lived in this country for more than 30 years and am still obsessed with America’s love of the red, white and blue and have used it in many an art piece.
