A hundred years ago I started a line of hand-printed clothing that I sold every night to the tourist’s during sunset at Mallory Square in Key West, Florida. It was the 80’s, the work was primitive, and I was supporting myself while living in a tropical paradise. Luck and being in the right place at the right time eventually led me to my own gallery/boutique “Is It Art” which I ran for more than ten years on historic Duval St.
So here I am today, returning to something I was happily creating more than 30 years ago– A new line of printed/ painted denim using some of the same bleach and dye techniques I was using way back when. Every piece is unique, one-of a kind and hand printed and hand dyed by moi.
It’s been fun and challenging and to launch the new line, I’m having a Big Boxing Day SALE today to introduce it to Eureka Springs. Men’s and women’s – jeans, vests, jackets, skirts and peddle-pushers all at a greatly reduced sale price.
Today at The Space from 4 to 8 p.m. across from the Eureka Springs post office.
Pictured is the lovely Katrina, co -owner of Brews, the new coffee and craft beer palace located below The Space. Katrina is wearing a pair of form fitting vintage jeans that have been bleached and dyed and will available today at The Space.
So excited to wear my new pants! Great show.
Thanks Faith – I know you will rock them and cant wait to see your added touches xoxoxoxo
