Zeek Taylor was one of the first people I met when I made the transition with my now husband, Billy, from Key West to the Ozark Mountains, and it was more than just our shared sexual orientation and love of art that brought us together.
Zeek is a trusted friend who has always been there for emotional and creative support – a true friend who always has your back, even when you are being kind of a jerk.
Tonight, I look forward to sharing the spotlight with my dearest friend at an art opening at Devito’s restaurant where both our works will be featured.
Teresa and James have graciously offered to host a public artist reception in our honor. It should be a perfect evening for drinking fancy cocktails on their beautiful outside deck..
Special thanks to Raven Derge of the Norberta Philbrook Gallery, who organized the event.
Hope to see everyone there.
Pictured is me in the trusted hands of a professional, in March of 2013, when Zeek dyed my hair pink for my Graven Images exhibit at The Space.
