Unannounced

me with camo 1

Working in my studio, my three dogs alerted me there was someone or something outside.

Standing outside my front door was a young man who asked me if I was interested in good food.

His friend and I assume business partner sat parked in our driveway while the former told me about his fresh meat delivery service he had started.

I could tell he was a little nervous even though my big Doberman Lily, who was by my side, is as gentle as they come.

It was only after telling him, “no thanks, my partner and I are vegetarians,” that I realized I was dressed in a camo shirt, wearing Homer Simpson pajama bottoms, holding a small ceramic leg stuffed with birthday candles (part of a new art piece I was working on) and standing next to a life-size gold painted Santa.

I’m sure he is sharing a similar, but quite different story with his friends and family.

Pictured is a re-creation for your visual enjoyment. LOL.
