Today is World AIDS Day, a reminder of the many creative souls we lost way too early to AIDS, and its continuing spread, here and world wide. I lived in Key West during the height of the plague from 1984 to 1996 and felt its devastation in our small community. “First AIDS (In Memory of Joe)” was one of several assemblages created out of my own personal experience of loss and grief.
