Shaking it up – just a bit

Lovesick for blog

It was right down to the wire, but Lovesick, the erotica art show and happening at The Space, came off. (pun intended).

It was a grab-bag mix of erotic art, performance video (Adrian Frost), thumping music and collaged porn.

Abundant audience members seemed a trifle reserved at the beginning, but loosened up after a couple of glasses of wine. There was nothing real naughty going on – guys and girls trying on dildo hardhats, straight boys caught uncomfortably looking at homo-erotic work, No nudity (I did not stay til the end) –fishnets with stiletto’s, the sexiest thing clicking past me.

So kudos to promoters and artists Kris Cross and Chadd Wilson for putting on something that seems a perfect fit for our little town – something to shake things up –  just a bit.
